Evens ARCELIN

Painter

Evens Arcelin was born on May 12, 1974 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, married, father of two children. From an early age he practiced drawing, painting, theater and martial arts. He also believed that spirituality can sharpen our senses and give us a clearer view of dark things. His artistic career really began in 1995, he attended the studio of his older brother Frantzy Arcelin who introduced him to painting; in his beginnings he painted the naive, the jungle of animals then gradually he reached the hyper realistic that he offered to a gallery there and built his own language in abstraction with the mark of his realistic past. Evens Arcelin has exhibited his paintings in Haiti, the United States, and France. His last appearance was with Art Capital the Salon des Indépendants in the French capital. His abstraction reveals the strength of his spiritual thoughts his research is based on all natural elements, water, air, fire, nature, spirits. In 2021 he is baptized Hiram-Abi his spiritual name and his artist name.
