PHOENICIAN SHIPS

Phoenician ships: The boat industry in the cities of the Lebanese coast in general, and the towns of Tayer and Jubail especially to the time of the Phoenicians 4000 BC, who were the first to challenge the wave by their boats, and traveled through the sea, taking with them their alphabet, science and crafts and Art to the world. Some researchers argue that the Phoenicians, the navigators of Tayer and Sidon, were the first to cross the seas and establish trade colonies through them, but they kept their secrets and sealed their knowledge of the sea. They were the first pioneers to make wooden ships made of cedar wood readily available to sail westward to trade.
