PERSEPHONE'S GAZE IN THE WOODS

As with all of Abi's paintings in this series, she has enjoyed playing with structure versus random marks and how these opposites can live harmoniously together side by side. Painting portraits is also Abi's way of connecting to people, which is tricky sometimes being partially sighted as she cannot see expressions and forms like most others. Painting them is a very personal, positive way for her to share this energy with others.
