NABATAEAN COINS

Nabataean coins; The Nabataeans succeeded in maintaining their political independence for centuries. The first coin of silver and bronze, similar to contemporary Hellenistic coins, and in the time of worship of the second son of Harith III, who took the throne in 62 BC, began to issue the distinctive Nabatean coin bearing the image of the king or queen or both on the face and the notion of eagle or horns of prosperity on Back, in addition to Nabataean letters indicating the name of the king and the year of his rule and the name of the queen. The Nabateans continued to mint their distinctive currency until 106 CE when their kingdom fell.
