HIDDEN LIFE 03

This Artwork is inspired by a walk in the forest and the book “Hidden Life of Trees” by Peter Wohlleben. In “The Hidden Life of Trees” Peter Wohlleben tells us that the forest is a social network. He describes how trees are like human families: they live together, communicate with each other, support each other as they grow, share nutrients with those who are sick or struggling, and even warn each other of impending dangers. Wohlleben’s deep love of woods and forests is very clear in the texts. He explains the processes of life, death, and regeneration he observed in his woodland. A walk in the woods will never be the same again.
