FOREST OF BLUEBELLS

The painting was made in 2021 and was inspired by a walk in the Hyacinth bos on Landgoed Ockenburg in The Hague. “Every year we wait for the magical moment. The ground suddenly glows purple around the tree trunks in the forest. Millions of wild hyacinths bloom among the unfurling fresh green ferns.” This walk inspired the Artist to create this painting. Parts of the text have been incorporated into the abstract painting using sheet metal. The atmosphere and appearance of the artwork are therefore strongly influenced by the incidence of (sun) light.
