ÉQUILIBRE À DEUX

Small and large states of mind This invisible thing called soul, located in the depths of each human being without knowing very well where, in the head, the heart or elsewhere, this invisible thing is my subject, the inspiration of all my paintings. I pursue it, observe it, track it; I feel it at the centre of moods, decisions, experiences. It shapes us, encloses us, energises us, transforms us, upsets us, transports us, euphorises us, guides us. It is at the heart of every existence, and has no regard for clothes, hairstyles, fashions, gravity... It links the material and the spiritual in us. To get a closer look at it, I represent naked humans, animated or deformed by their states of mind, small or large. Myriam Feuilloley
