ENHEDUANNA

Is the earliest known poet whose name has been recorded. She was the High Priestess of the goddess Inanna and the moon god Nanna (Sin). She lived in the Sumerian city-state of Ur. Enheduanna's contributions to Sumerian literature include a collection of hymns known as the "Sumerian Temple Hymns". This makes her the first named author in world history. She took a role of great political importance that was often held by royal daughters. In 2015, the International Astronomical Union (IAF) named a nozzle on the surface of Mercury called Enkhidwana, according to the rules of the International Astronomical Union (IUA) by naming all the new nozzles on Mercury's surface names of Artists, authors, or authors that have been known for more than 50 years and have been dead for more than three years.
