This series of Paintings represents an homage to the World of Lala’s and Loulou’s, an artistic World that is populated with a series of bronze sculptures. Aima first created the world of LALA’s, her female creations. Like the origin of humanity, in ancient times, the sacred was adorned by feminine forms and attributes. Nature and woman belonged to the magical world of waves and the forces of life, a world that escaped masculine comprehension. Then came the LOULOU’s, the male counterpart of the Lala. Though stronger in appearance, he was created from the flesh of the female. Not from her rib, but from her heart. As the Lala muses sowed their sacred seeds around the Art world, the Loulou was a natural furtherance of Aima’s circle of creation. Their genesis is an allegory of the divine aspiration in which one complements the other, for a complete image and likeness of spiritual Gods and Goddesses. To expand her creative horizons, Aima has crystallized her Muses – of both genders – through Paintings, which she adorns with elements of gaiety, passion, and divine nature. Her very personal technique integrates different materials into the color of her Paintings, in which sand, wood, pigments, paper, and other matter are intertwined to captivate the observer’s attention while also enhancing the lines of her drawings.
