CLOSING TIME

The "Mariage Frères" series is a series of paintings inspired by the Parisian tea brand of the same name, and more specifically their tea room in Covent Garden, London. Tea has always been a great source of inspiration for Louise Hapton, who sees it as a real remedy for her malaise. The more tea the better; the more the eyes on the walls fade and disappear. In this series she tries to capture the sense of calm she feels when she enters this tea room. The room is colorful, the architecture very interesting (it is a former embassy) and there is a smell of tea pastries that intoxicates the Artist every time she goes in.
